LL.M. in International Business Law

LL.M. in American Law
 

This is a ten-month program principally for legal professionals outside of the United States, who are interested in becoming proficient in the principles of American jurisprudence.  The program is suitable for both seasoned legal practitioners and freshly-minted law school graduates.  From contract and trust law, to civil procedure and evidence, this program will make you versed in the principles underlying American jurisprudence.

The program prepares lawyers from outside of the United States for the practice of international law as well.  Principles of U.S. jurisprudence are quite prevalent and influential in many judicial systems throughout the world.  As such, understanding the principles of American jurisprudence goes a long way to understanding the principles of jurisprudence in other countries.  The program is certain to give the edge to any legal professional seeking to practice international law.

The program also prepares lawyers who are expecting to have frequent contacts with their U.S.-based colleagues.
 

The program has other unique applications.  The breadth and cost of the program make it accessible and quite useful to foreign legal professionals (from outside of the United States), who may wish to take a bar examination and obtain a license in any of the United States offering licenses to foreign lawyers.

The program is also uniquely helpful to pre-law students in the United States, who may want to prepare for and obtain an advantage in their upcoming law school studies in the United States.  Research shows that it takes only 10% of the time to relearn information already learned once.  As the program focuses on teaching legal thinking principles, pre-law students will have a certain edge in their law school studies over their colleagues.

The Center for Professional English
 

TAU’s Center for Professional English includes courses and workshops in Advanced Business English, Corporate English, and Financial English.  The courses are taught by practicing attorneys and business professionals.  The Advanced Business English and Corporate English programs, in addition to teaching terminology, also teach the skills necessary to form and operate a business in the United States.  The program covers essential subjects, including: virtually every step of the business-formation process, various operation processes, banking, insurance, employee relations, client relations, contract negotiation and administration, inter-business conflicts, intra-business conflicts, creditor conflicts, financial difficulties, and others.
